Seminar on Academic Publishing held at UAP

The Department of English, UAP and the Office of the International Affairs (OIA) jointly organized a seminar on Academic Publishing at UAP auditorium on 10 July 2024.

Dr. Obaidul Hamid, Associate Professor (TESOL Education), University of Queensland, Australia and an esteemed member of the International Advisory Council, UAP took the sessions as the key speaker.

Dr. Hamid took the audience on a lively journey of his publishing life, reminiscing about his early days as a young researcher. He then discussed the most important aspects of publishing scholarly work, highlighting the challenges and vagaries of the publishing industry.

Among others, Professor A. M.M. Hamidur Rahman, Department of English, Daffodil International University; Dr. Zakia Ahmad, Associate Professor and Head, Department of English; UAP; Ar. Ziaul Islam, Director, Office of International Affairs (OIA), UAP; Mr. Takad Ahmed Chowdhury, Associate Professor and the Convener of the Seminar Committee, Department of English, UAP; faculty members and students of the Department attended the seminar.

Dr. Hamid, is a renowned academic who has conducted several researches on TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) policy and practice in developing societies.
The seminar ended with an interactive session with the audience followed by a vote of thanks.
